What is a Vampire Facial?
A vampire facial is a combination of a microdermabrasion, followed by the application of PRP (platelet-rich plasma). The PRP is derived from the serum portion of the blood, which contains platelets. The platelets contain high levels of growth factors, which, when applied to the skin, will stimulate cell turnover.
How long will it last?
After the facial, your skin continues to regenerate for at least 3 months. The overall effect of the facial may last for about a year (or more).
Who is suitable for this kind of treatment?
You must be over the age of 18 to have any treatments, if you look younger than 21 you will be asked for ID. Those with any health conditions should check with their Doctor prior to treatment. If you suffer with a blood diseases, including clotting or bleeding disorders you may not be a suitable candidate for the treatment.
Is there any down time?
It might take a day or two of downtime as you'll emerge from treatment a bit red, almost like a sunburn, which means post-procedure sunscreen is highly recommended. Applying makeup, though, is discouraged.
